Nephi was a man of great faith. He was large in stature, a skilled craftsman who built weapons, tools, and the ship that sailed his family across the ocean to the promised land. As a prophet of the Lord, he was a humble leader who sought divine direction. He pleaded with the wicked to soften their hearts towards God. Read in The Book of Mormon of Nephi's obedience showing his great love for Jesus Christ. 1 Nephi 3:7 states "...I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded..." We can learn from his valiant example that if we pray often, the Lord will show us the way.
